Alien 1 Visited planets must be known.

Alien 2 My knowledge is minimal.

Alien 1 It must therefore be augmented.
The life-forms here are carbon-based,
The population primitive, with little evidence
Of telepathic skills. A recent probe
Found surface dislocation, with some signs
Of atmospheric perturbation, caused
By uncontrolled activity.
Societal observations indicate
The slow emergence of some harmony,
But territoriality remains,
With value judgements clouded by confusion
Between universal and territorial scales.

Cultural scanning
On higher levels of vibration shows
Incipient spirituality,
With heavy material contamination.

In summary, a lovely planet, marred
By incomplete development.
Future - uncertain. Danger level - high.

Alien 2 We are being observed.

Alien 1 We must remain unobserved.

Alien 2 Let us therefore take evasive action.
